Request for advanced log parsing and visualization, and other features

I believe that is desirable to include a more advanced log parsing feature in PHPXmail. That feature could mark the lines with errors, and give the ability of shown only that lines. It also could include a title at the top of each column for know what represents that column.

The only problem could be that a web page created with that system will be too big (too tags are needed in the webpage).

I created a little PHP script that analizes the smtp logs that I have on the same directory of the script and it shows only the errors lines if you press on a link. You could contact me, if you want more information.

The other features I request are to allow configure PHPXmail: - to don't allow normal users to log in and change their settings, - to don't allow domain admistrators to log in and change the settings of their domains and - to don't allow the global administrator to log in...

Sorry for my english,
Thanks everybody

I'm just working on this: you will find it in one of the next releases (may be that the first release that will come out may contains only urgent bug fix)

About what concernt yours "Do not allow...":
Users: the project leader must think about this feature...

Postmaster: If you do not want a postmaster to changes settings, do not give him the password!

Global administrator: ??? I do not understood why...

Don't allow users because some administrators dont want to allow their users change their settings.

dont allow postmasters because some global administrators dont want to allow others to administer the domains

dont allow global administrator because some people only want allow access to administer a domain or allow access users to change their settings reducing the impact of unauthorized acesses.

Sorry for my bad english

first off , nice job on the log visualization Marco

secondly , here is my position on the other requests
(i find them a bit strange , if you are not allowing neither admins , postmasters or users to login to phpxmail then nobody is using phpxmail and makes no sence to install it in the first place)

Quote: don't allow normal users to log in and change their settings
do not make public the link to the phpxmail installation

Quote: don't allow domain admistrators to log in and change the settings of their domains
do not give the postmaster password to them

Quote: don't allow the global administrator to log in
do not give the administrator password to him

all your needs can be roughly adressed without changes to phpxmail
