Please help me!
Is there a way to track unique visitors?

So the number indicating the "unique visitors" would increase by (maximum/only) one (1) in every 5-10 minutes from an IP address, regardless of how many (that is: if at least one) HITS are scored from that certain IP within this 5-10min time.
Example:
Even though I score 20-30-... HITS from one (1) IP address in 5-10minutes (and time is the key question here) the "unique visitors" would only increase by one (1).
The same goes with 2-3-...etc IPs.
In other words, I would like to use a so called "time out" factor...


Now I am only able to track the SUM of the IPs, thus returning visitors are totally omitted...

PHPSiteStats uses a caching aproach to only log new visits

It does not log a visit if it is the same as the "last visit" cache

So returning visitors are logged , refresh visit spams are dished out
