| when I try to login with the default password of root...it doesn't do anything and it doesn't give an error. I noticed the demo behaves the same way. I tried changing the password through the config file but logging in behaves the same way. Any idea what i'm doing wrong? |

I'm having the same issue. Nowhere does it state what the default password is for the demo board. I tried demo, admin, pass, password, and so on. I also tried it both ways clicking enter and clicking on log in. What is it so I can look at it. :?:

oh i didn't know you were talking about the demo on the project page
the password is not stated anywhere simply because you are not supossed to know it |

Well there is no place to signup to try it out. Then how is it a demo?

well it isn't really a demo , more like a preview then , you get a ideea of the interface
i cant afford to let visitors login like a regular admin and see sensitive informations like database details |

| Well then can't you allow them to signup as a new user to at least test the thing out. I know as an admin I won't install and use if I don't know how it fully operates. Can't you even take screen shots and show them? Something at least. |

phpfinance is not a bulletin board or a cms
you dont have usernames and account and users signups
you only have a access password wich allows you acces to the program
just install apache2triad and phpfinance on your system wich is like a 5 minutes play if you really want to test it |

| why call it a demo if users cannot try it? might as well just be a screen-shot of the login page. makes no sense. |

| you can see the index with all the data display don't you , you just can not access the administration pages to vandalise the data and get sensitive database details |
