I am pretty much a newbie to webservers, apache2triad, and FTP.
I set up a Windows Server 2003 machine.
I installed apache2triad a month or so ago. I now want to enable FTP. I go to "http://localhost/apache2triadcp", choose the PHPsFTPd control panel. I try to use the setup tool, but get the error "Your server does not allow automatic file chmoding. You have to chmod 666 C:\apache2triad\ftp\slimftpd.log/make it writeable."
I go to the indicated location, but can't find the file. I tried making the whole "C:\apache2triad\ftp" folder writeable, but that hasn't seemed to work.
I looked at several other posts here for help first, and I see that the first hint is usually "look at the log file." Well, I can't seem to FIND the log file.
When I choose "slimftpd log" from the apache2triadcp page, I get a page that says
"The SlimFTPd log
This allows for remote editing of config files
You are editing : C:/apache2triad/ftp/slimftpd.log 1 b "
There is a blank text box in which I can type stuff, and two buttons underneath. "refresh" , and "write to file". But I have no idea what to write.
Any help would be appreciated. I just don't know where to go from here
Thanks in advance for your time, effort, and patience !
