Hi

It took a while to get right but I am successfully running XMail 1.22 with PHPXMail 1.4 on CentOS 4.4.

Using PHPXMail, I have just added a mailing list for testing and all is well but I would like each new mail thread posted through the mailing list to add an ID number to the Subject of the mail. i.e. mail arrives and is titled Subject: [1] new subject, new mail is posted and it arrives Subject: [2] next subject, and so on. Is this possible with an XMail ML and is there a value i can add to the mailing list account settings that will do this?
Or am I in the wrong place to be asking this question?
Thank you

No, :(
I'm sorry but PHPXmail is only a web frontend for Xmail Server and do non take any action inside the emails managed by Xmail Server.

The only case in which this can happen it is when you use PHPXmail itself to send messages (i.e.: menu "send mail to list" in "domains >> hta-it.com >> mailing lists >> maillist@mydomain.tld").

This is the only point where to put and automatic counter as subject prefix, but it will counts only messages sent from here (i.e: from postmaster).

In order to achieve what you had explained, I think you should consider to write yourself an 'ad hoc' server filter (IN and/or OUT filter) or check in "Xmail Server" forums...

Thank you for the reply.

I will try and play around with the server filter settings and will post my question also in XMail specific forums.

Thanks again! :)
