installing help

When I go to dir/script/install.php and enter in the Database name, server, username pass, etc......, I don't get any Error message when I click Finish Setup it just resets my information I have tried this many times and still can't get it to work. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong or had this problem?

you might need to turn php globals on if i recall
