O ok... never mind. I figured out what my problem was for the message below. I had added a new user and simply needed to restart the FTP service. Everything works fine now.
I have logged onto my FTP server via the administration panel and set up two accounts. But every time i try to log onto the server via an ftp client using either of those i accounts i receive this error (i have included all dialog before the error in case it will shed any light on the answer to my problem):

< 220 Proceed with login.

< 331 Need password for user "root".
> PASS (hidden)
< 530 Incorrect password.
! Unable to connect: 192.168.0.2! (530 Incorrect password.)
I KNOW THE PASSWORD IS CORRECT. This happens when i try to log onto either account. I have logged onto the administration panel and made sure the passwords for the accounts were correct and tried it a million times. I can't figure it out so i any suggestions or other help would be greatly appreciated. |
